In this work, Proofs of a Conspiracy, Robison laid the groundwork for modern conspiracy theorists by implicating the Bavarian Illuminati as responsible for the excesses of the French Revolution. The Bavarian Illuminati, a rationalist secret society, was founded by Adam Weishaupt in 1776 in what is today Germany. They had an inner core of true believers, who secretly held radical atheist, anti-monarchist and possibly proto-feminist views, at that time considered beyond the pale. They recruited by infiltrating the numerous (and otherwise benign) Freemasonic groups which were active at the time on the continent. Necessarily they had a clandestine, compartmentalized, hierarchical organizational form.

Good background info on the illuminati. Mark Dice has done us a favor by making sure this book remains available. Not an easy read but worth the effort.
Interesting read about the origins of the Illuminati in Europe and, particularly, in Germany. Describes the secret society as having the goal of abolishing Christianity.
An in depth, up close, contemporaneous account of the origins of the Illuminati and the influence of such secret organizations on the French Revolution. Robison was a scholar, a Mason and personally acquainted with many of the players in both of those events. Therefore, this is more informative than any mere historical treatment.
Then, why did I give it only four stars? The language is also from that period and more difficult for a reader from the current era to read.
A bit long running but shows just how real the Illuminati and Freemasons for instance were, and possibly still are connected at the highest ranks. It definitely shows that the Illuminati was, and still is, a very real and live organization of the top .001 percenters who wish to run the world for themselves.
This is not fiction. A must read for anyone who wants to understand how the evil in the world is even now working its satanic will.
This is a VERY important book which should be read by EVERYONE. It was written in the late 1700s and tells just what the title says. People should research the absolute EXISTENCE of the ILLUMINATI!!! They are "The Elites" of the world who control almost EVERYTHING at this point. This has been their goal from the beginning TOTAL control of the lives of every human being in the world! If you doubt this, DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH! There are MANY books available which corroborate every word this book contains. Most people simply WILL NOT believe any of this, but also WILL NOT do their own research to either verify what we say or, with an educated mind, be able to say it is not true. There is SO MUCH to be said, but I will leave you with this WARNING THE HOUR GROWS LATE!!!
This book was written in 1798 and Robison sent a copy to George Washington to warn him about the infection in the Masonic Lodges. The disease is the Illuminati and it thrives today as another tentacle of the secret societies which control world governments, finances, wars and who determine who will be our next incompetent, corrupt and Luciferian leader. This book gives a good history of what would later take the form of International Communism (the French Revolution) and National Socialism (the world today).
